This course has been developed for all employees (front-line employees, management and administrative staff) working in your senior care organizations. It is available in English and Spanish. This course has been developed by Nancy Wicklin, RN MS and is based on the CDC guidelines. It has been reviewed by senior care and healthcare professionals. HOW TO TAKE THIS COURSE: 1.) Make sure you are registered Make sure your administrator has registered your institution so you can take the course for free. You should obtain your password from your administrator. 3.) Log in Enter your name, institution and password (that you got from your administrator) in the fields on this page and click on the LOG IN button. 4.) Take the course Once you have logged in, you will be asked to click on a link to launch the course. Once the course is launched, Click the link that says NEXT> to go from page to page. 5.) Print your course certificate At the end of the course, you will be given the option to view your course completion certificate. Follow the directions for printing your certificate. She has held positions as an Assistant Nurse Manager, Assistant Professor of Nursing, Informatics Consultant, and Webmaster. She has been creating web-based courseware for health care workers for the past 7 years. Debi Damas, RN Clinical Consultant for Silverchair Learning Services Ms. Damas has been in long-term care for over 17 years and has held positions as charge nurse, MDS nurse, Restorative Nurse, DON, Regional and Corporate Director, and Risk Manager, and is also a legal consultant. She has assisted in creating clinical software modules for a large company and has implemented e-based learning systems in facilities. Reviewers Donna J. Duss, RN, MSN President, Duss Healthcare Consulting, LLC Ms. Duss has an MS in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Gerontology. She has held positions as a Staff Educator and Director of Nursing in for-profit and not-for-profit long-term care organizations. She currently a professional coach and consultant to a variety of long-term care organizations and serves on the boards of two continuing care retirement communities. She is the Project Coordinator for the Virginia Health Care Association's Quality First Project. Daniel J. Moles, RN, LNHA Director of Quality Improvement & Clinical Services, Health Care Association of New Jersey Dan Moles is an RN and LNHA with over 30 years experience in long-term care, including nursing and administrative management positions. He received his RN diploma from the Bellevue and Mills Schools of Nursing, and earned a Business Administration Degree in Management and a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration. Dan has published articles in Provider and other national trade journals and often lectures on best practices in long-term care.
